A series of dark high fantasy novels currently in progress

While I am currently focused on writing the Swords of Ruin trilogy, I have also conceptualized two prequel series exploring the events that shaped the world in the centuries prior. The Shadowlands trilogy is an origin story for the saga's main antagonist, taking place nearly a millennium earlier. Descriptions below:

Shadowlands, Volume 1: Foundations
Twin brothers separated at birth find themselves pitted against each other in a conflict between the Kingdom of the Flame, born of the fading blood of a fire goddess, and the Shadowlands, ruled by a fallen storm god desperate to cling to his power.
Shadowlands, Volume 2: Epiphany
A young magician of the Shadowlands takes up the mantle of his fallen master, seeking to blot out the light of the Kingdom of the Flame—his enemy is his brother, the one responsible for his master’s death—but to prevail, the magician will have to overcome his crippling fear of the light.
Shadowlands, Volume 3: Requiem
Galvanized by remorse, a magician cultivates new life in the dead soil of the Shadowlands and fosters a prosperous New Kingdom, but the arrival of Elyra Wintergale sets him on a dangerous pursuit for immortality. Together, they set their intellects toward lofty ambitions, but when good intentions become poisoned by obsession, the result proves calamitous.

The Crossroads series explores the wars that are legend in the time of the Swords of Ruin trilogy, expanding on the roles of key figures in the destruction and restoration of the world. Descriptions below:

Crossroads, Volume 1: Anagnorisis
A man awakens alone in the wilderness with no memory of his past but understands he has committed an atrocity; traveling back to where it all went wrong, his memories return and he understands his misdeed has repercussions that threaten the present world. He has the ability to right things, but after discovering just what he did, he may not be willing to.
Crossroads, Volume 2: Forsaken Fire
In the heart of what was once Lyrinor, the Kingdom of the Flame, the power of fire is no longer revered—instead it is despised—but Gildred Darkthorn, an aspiring knight, has always been curious about the power, and when his realm is attacked by a band of barbarians, exiled for their use of the Flame, Gildred is torn between his curiosity and his allegiance.
Crossroads, Volume 3: The Lightkeeper
Humanity appears headed for another Crossroads—instances when civilization annihilates itself—and this one promises to be the last, from which there is no coming back. Valthian Oceanborne works desperately to prevent this, but through his efforts to prevent the Final Crossroads, he might be the one to bring it about.
Crossroads, Volume 4: The Thirteenth King
The last descendent of the goddess has been lost to wickedness, but his children work from opposite ends of the sea to undo the damage he has done; unbeknownst to them, however, another descendent yet lives, torn between both sides and with the power to either save the world or destroy it.
Crossroads, Volume 5: Moonlight
The magician Ravenfire is torn between his long lost love and the future of the world, but Elyra Wintergale no longer resembles the woman he remembers, save in the extremities of her ambition. Ravenfire must choose whether to embrace fire or ice, and the world will live or die by his choice.
Crossroads, Volume 6: Resurrection
Lyriel Songsparrow and Aris Summershade use the Swords of Ruin to fight the corrupted chosen one who is the root of all suffering in their world; Lyriel is adamant in their cause, but Aris has doubts two mortals can contend with such malice and such might.
Crossroads, Volume 7: Desolation's Dawn
The world has been given new life, but a wicked sorcerer threatens to imperil it; Meredin Evergreen stands against him, but when she learns whose face is behind his mask, her resolve is compromised.
